Welcome to my blog. I’m mainly going to be using this as a space to express my views, write lifestyle and fashion articles, and share some of my photography. If you have any questions about photography, writing, or anything else, feel free to ask!
The title of this blog has to do with my view on culture. I dislike most cultural trends of any sort beginning around the 1970’s so my posts and philosophy are all going to be reflected in a classical state of mind, while straying far from most modernism and all post-modernism.
About myself, I’m currently studying a degree in journalism and advertising at Thompson Rivers University. I’ve lived in the mountains of British Columbia my whole life, so I’ve always been a skier and outdoorsman, but I find myself drawn towards bigger cities around the world. If I’m not here writing, I’m somewhere else writing, maybe reading, but probably taking pictures of whatever it is.
I’m a traditionalist conservative politically, somewhat monarchical, slightly existentialist, and a C.S. Lewis type Christian.
I’m a *bit* of a bibliophile, and my favourite authors are Fyodor Dostoevsky, Julius Evola, Ernest Hemingway, Stefan Zweig, William F. Buckley, Soren Kierkegaard, C.S. Lewis & F. Scott Fitzgerald (but there are plenty more).
I’m inspired daily by Bill Buckley, and a photographer by the name of Antony Armstrong-Jones (google him, seriously).
